An announcement on the occasion of the disbursement of an extraordinary grant to cover the costs of hospitalization and medical rehabilitation of Aristotle Leonidis was issued on Wednesday by EOT.
Analytically: “The Hellenic Judo Federation feels the need to publicly thank the Deputy Minister of Culture & Sports, Eleftherios Avgenakis, as well as the General Secretary of Sports, Georgios Mavrotas, for the disbursement of an extraordinary grant of 10,000 euros for the second installment of the of medical rehabilitation of the member of the National team, Aristotelis-Aris Leonidis.
Already, the sports leadership, in 2021 had disbursed 15,000 for the same reason. The athletic leadership, apart from the financial aid, has stood from the very first moment both on the side of the unfortunate athlete and on the side of the Greek Judo Federation, a fact that makes us feel that we are not alone in this battle.
“Our young champion, who was injured during the European Young Men’s Championship in November 2020 in Croatia, has been hosted for several months at a Rehabilitation and Recovery Center in Larissa.”
