Valuable experience for three Greeks in the A.Me.A. tournament. of Jordan

Since March, there have been five tournaments of Greek athletes with disabilities in the Para Events of the World Table Tennis Federation, the blue and white colors are represented in all with at least one athlete and from Thursday to Saturday they will be at the Al-Watani Para Championships in Amman.

There, Grigoris Chrysikos will compete in the men’s class 1, Evanthia Bournia in the women’s class 1 and Lefteris Mavris in the class 6 (standing). Valuable experiences and strong racing tests are the most important for the three children, however there is also the possibility for distinctions.

The Bournia of PA.SKA. is 16 years old and is taking part in tournaments abroad for the first time. Chrysikos of the same club, as well as Mavris of En Somati Yyiei, return after a long time to international competitions.

Three escorts also went to the Middle East country. The federal coach of E.A.OM.-A.ME.A., Eleftheria Daountaki, went first with Bournia, the technical director of En Somati Hygei and the technical advisor of the national team A.M.E.A., Alexandros Karaiosif, will be in the coaching of Mavris, while Lambros Filippatos is the companion of Chrysikos.

Mavris will play one match on Thursday and two on Friday.

The women in wheelchairs do not take class 2, in which Bournia has competed in Greece, but class 1. The young champion meets on Thursday in her group the leader Mariam Almirisl from Saudi Arabia and the German Margaret-Jana Spiegel.
