The Minister of Digital Government, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, announced the availability of 376,500 digital signatures in January to targeted professional groups, such as business managers, accountants, lawyers, notaries, speaking at the general assembly of the Central Union of Chambers (KEE).

In particular, out of the 376,500 digital signatures through KEE, 270,000 will be distributed to business managers, 60,000 to accountants, 43,500 to lawyers and 3,000 to notaries. Mr. Pierrrakakis pointed out that “through gov.gr we will operate a platform where these signatures can be shared remotely via video. We are doing this in collaboration with KEE and it is part of a broader strategy for digital signatures “. He stressed that another 37,000 digital signatures will be added to the 376,500 to civil servants – which have already begun to be given -, 30,000 to TEE engineers and 100,000 to citizens. “We are talking about 656,500 digital signatures that will be given for free within 2022. This is a huge change, adding to these citizen identification services in the remote service from the state and beyond.”

Mr. Pierrakakis noted that “this is a project that we started with the late Konstantinos Michalos and we continue with the president Giannis Chatzitheodosiou”, while he spoke about a project that is planned and concerns digital aid to small and medium enterprises, “which will provide tools to entrepreneurs to be able to get simple digital tools that will help in the daily life of the business. And this will be ready at the beginning of 2022 “.

Mr. Pierrakakis spoke about upgrading the digital services of the General Commercial Register (GEMI). “GEMI is a supership that we have not used in the context that we can. Our commitment is that we will support the effort to upgrade GEMI to the fullest extent and in cooperation with you “. He added that small projects, such as genuine signatures, intangible prescriptions have enormous added value in everyday life because they are political tools, “which come to help, reducing inequalities for all those who did not have time to wait in line, help people with a disability, the working parent, the Greek abroad but also the businessman who has no time to lose “.

Closing, the Minister underlined that “the Recovery Fund includes funds and together with the small projects gives us the full possibility of changing the production model in practice”.
