Ibirapuera Park offers a course to photograph stars and nebulae

Those interested in learning to photograph the night sky can enroll in the Basic Astrophotography course, which will take place on August 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th, starting at 7 pm, at Ibirapuera Park, in the south of São Paulo.

The course will be taught by Professor Alberlan Barros, from the Astro Space channel. The first class will be in the planetarium and auditorium of EMA (Municipal School of Astrophysics), both in Ibirapuera Park.

The second day of class will be at Floresta Cantareira, where students will capture images at Pedra Grande. The other two days of class will again be in the EMA auditorium.

The course is aimed at people of all ages who are interested in learning to photograph the night sky, which includes stars, nebulae and galaxies. Classes can be done with cameras and smartphones with manual mode.

There are 40 places and the cost of the course is R$ 850. The coordination is by Planetário Ibirapuera, which will issue certificates. According to the organization, the course includes headlamps, food at Pedra Grande, wine, transport from the Horto visitor center to Pedra Grande.
