Disney is reportedly exploring a membership program that would give access to multiple services similar to Amazon’s Prime subscription.

The new service could offer discounts and perks to encourage customers to spend more on streaming services, theme parks, resorts and merchandise, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Internally, some Disney executives call the initiative “Disney Prime,” but that is not the name of the program, the report cites people familiar with the debate.

A membership program is one idea being considered, a company representative said.

Discussions at Disney are in the early stages and it’s unclear how much the company will charge for memberships or how long it will take to launch such a program.

Membership programs help increase consumer spending on Disney products and services while providing Disney with access to information about consumer preferences.

This year, Disney Plus overtook Netflix in terms of streaming subscribers after announcing that it would launch an ad-supported service later this year.

Last quarter, 14.4 million streaming subscribers joined, bringing the total to 221 million.
