Meta’s Creator Week, an event that brings together Instagram and Facebook creators from around the world, ended on Monday night (7) in São Paulo, with an event at Cinemateca.
During the event, the ‘#MeteUmReels’ campaign was announced, with the participation of more than a thousand creators, including the phenomena Pequena Lo and Casimiro, to encourage the use of the tool in Brazil.
According to the platform, there are currently more than 140 billion views of Reels on Facebook and Instagram every day, representing a 50% increase from six months ago.
The campaign comes in the midst of yet another offensive to win over the teenage audience that is on the famous “network next door”, the Chinese TikTok, which has 73.5 million users in Brazil, according to a report by WeAreSocial in partnership with HootSuite. .
“We know that teenagers today want to express themselves and connect in more meaningful ways and create with their friends in a language that only they understand, and ‘Mete um Reels’ will show that it doesn’t take much for that to happen, after all, any situation can turn a Reels. This is already part of their daily lives and generates this powerful connection”, says Bernnardo Bonnard, Head of Marketing at Instagram in Brazil.
To popularize the use of quick videos, Instagram has launched the “Templates” function, which allows you to create Reels in a predetermined mold, which already carries the transitions, photo and video cuts and audio synchronization.
To use the new functionality, just click on the camera icon inside the Reels tab and select the desired model. Anyone who publishes videos with the hashtag #MeteUmReels can even be part of the campaign.
