American Airlines announced yesterday that it had some flight delays and cancellations, as a result of offering 5G services at US airports, but also some additional effects on its regional aircraft fleet.
American Airlines Chief Operating Officer David Seymour informed the company’s employees that he expects the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to proceed soon with the issuance of updated operating conditions for Airbus aircraft and the region. These new operating conditions will allow the airline in question to operate normally at most airports.
“We have seen little operational impact,” Seymour said.
Meanwhile, Korean Air announced that it will operate 777 and 747 aircraft on flights to US airports, as originally planned, following new instructions from the FAA regarding 5G services at US airports.
