The chairman and CEO of JP Morgan, Jamie Dimon, envisions a future free of life-threatening diseases like cancer and a much less stressful life – all thanks to in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dimon also stated that the quality of life is expected to improve dramatically due to artificial intelligence.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Dimon said:your children will live to be 100, and they won’t get cancer because of technology. And, literally, they’ll probably work three and a half days a week.”

JPMorgan’s CEO, however, acknowledged that technological advances, such as Artificial Intelligence in this case, they always have an impact on certain jobs. “Technology has always replaced jobs,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg, adding that technology has done “incredible things for humanity,” but there are also downsides. The biggest downside to AI, Dimon explained, is “bad people” using it to do “bad things.”

He added that at JPMorgan if AI ends up replacing jobs, then it hopes to give its employees new jobs.

The chairman and CEO of JP Morgan commented that artificial intelligence is “real”, something “alive” and widely used by humans. He also stated that artificial intelligence is capable of replacing human beings. As he explained, at JPMorgan they are using AI for multiple roles and it will soon be part of it “every process”.
