Scientists from the University of Arizona found that the Long March 3C rocket launched last year in March by China’s National Space Agency created a mysterious crater on the moon.

However, as reported by the daily mail, China last year denied responsibility.

Scientists came to this conclusion as they analyzed light reflections from the mysterious object recorded by a telescope before the impact.

The telescopes the scientists used did not have a high enough resolution so that they clearly recorded the details but ‘caught’ the signs of the light that reflected as it was in motion.

NASA has spotted the new addition to the lunar surface in photos taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO)a robotic spacecraft orbiting the moon, launched in June 2022

The new findings were published Thursday in the The Planetary Science Journal
