The world famous MIT Technology Review Conference, EmTech Europe 2024which intends to explore the transformative power of technology in shaping the future, will be held for the first time in Greece in collaboration with “Kathimerini”, on January 17 and 18, 2024, at the Athens Concert Hall.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from leading experts, network with professionals and gain knowledge about latest trends and innovations in technology and ESG.

The conference entitled Technology Enabled ESG: “Technology at the service of the Environment, Society and Corporate Governance” will delve into four main thematic areas: General Technological Trends, Environment, Society and Governance.

The technology sector will explore the latest technological developments that are reshaping industries and the future of work. This will provide a broad understanding of the current technology landscape and the opportunities it presents.

In the environment section, the focus will be on how technology can lead to environmental sustainability. The role of renewable energy technologies and circular economy principles in creating a more sustainable future will be discussed.

In the topic concerning society, the social effects of technology will be examined, focusing on digital inclusion and its transformative role of HealthTech and EdTech in promoting social progress. It will also develop how technology can bridge social divides and promote social equality.

Finally, in the field of governance, the challenges and opportunities presented by digital technologies will be analysed. Among the topics discussed will be data privacy, the balance between innovation and individual rights, and the role of blockchain in creating transparency and trust in the digital economy.
