Billions of people in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia watched on Sunday, September 7, enchanted a spectacular full moon with a total eclipse, known as the “bloody moon”.

The phenomenon lasted from the beginning to the end of the eclipse about 82 minutes and was visible to the naked eye.

The lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes just between the sun and the moon, throwing its shadow on the surface of the moon.

During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon gets a deep red or bronze color, so it is called “bloody moon”
