With great success the Researcher in Thessaloniki, which was hosted on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Concert Hall, under the coordination of the National Center for Research and Technological Development (CERTH).

More than 5,000 visitors of all ages had the opportunity to get to know the world of research and innovation. Scientists, researchers, academics and representatives of the Spin-off companies of EKETA presented their work and achievements.

The audience toured technological exhibits, talked to the creators and participated in original experiments. Through cutting -edge technologies, multimedia and scientific equipment, young and old have participated in a rich program of actions, games and competitions.

The interactive technologies report of EKETA was particularly popular, highlighting the range of his research activities.

Important interest was gathered by section ‘From the laboratory to the shelf’where companies have presented products and services that have already applied to the market.

The event was also attended by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DIMITRA, the International University of Greece and the University of Ioannina, offering a comprehensive picture of Greek research and academic activity.

Activities for children, such as creative science laboratories, Escape Room Bioinformatics, Treasure Hunting and Experiments, have been particularly responsive, which have played the world of science in a playful way.

The live link with the European Nuclear Research Organization – CERN was also of interest.

The event was enriched with artistic and musical events, adding a distinct dimension to the researcher night.

The event served as a bridge of communication between researchers and citizens, highlighting the importance of research and its contribution to modern society. Many young people have discovered how technological research improves everyday life and offers solutions to modern challenges, enhancing their interest in future research careers.
