THE Russia has intensified its operations in Donbas as it seeks to encircle Severodonetsk, Litshansk and Rubizne, the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
At the moment, the information adds, between the northern and the southern axis of this operation, there are about 25 kilometers of territory under Ukrainian control.
It is noted that there has been strong Ukrainian resistance with forces manning well-fortified defensive positions, while the soldiers of the Operation Unified Force of the Ukrainian army who have been in the area for years are likely to maintain effective command and control of the front.
The Russians, however, have had some local successes, mainly due to the concentration of artillery units.
The information from the British Ministry ends with the indication that the occupation of the Sheverontonietsk enclave would bring the whole of his province under Russian occupation. Luhansk.
While this is the Russians’ main operation, it is only part of the effort to occupy Donbass. If the Donbass front line moves further west, then the Russians’ lines of communication will expand and their forces will likely face further logistical supply difficulties, London said.
