Kremlin: In Kyiv the responsibility for the freezing of talks – We do not understand what they want

by

Moscow has blamed Ukraine for freezing peace talks, saying it was unclear what Kyiv wanted.

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov“The Ukrainian leadership is constantly making contradictory statements,” he told a news conference. “This does not allow us to fully understand what the Ukrainian side wants.”

For his part, the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky stated earlier that he has repeatedly try to arrange a meeting with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin to end the war, but Russia does not yet seem ready for serious peace talks.

“There are things to discuss with the Russian leader. “I’m not telling you that άνθρω our people are looking forward to talking to him, but we have to face the realities of what we are experiencing,” said Zelenski, speaking to an Indonesian think tank.

“What do we want from this meeting … We want our lives back … We want to take back the life of a sovereign country within its own territory,” he said.

The last known peace talks took place on March 29. Contacts have been at a distance for some time, but both sides say they have now stopped.
