The Swedish news agency reports that Erdogan said that “the two countries’ contacts with people and organizations affiliated with the PKK and its Syrian branch, the YPG, are in direct contradiction to the spirit of NATO.”
Finnish and Swedish diplomats Talks began with Turkish representatives in Ankara on Wednesday to curb Turkish resistance to the two Scandinavian nations joining NATO.

Sweden and Finland simultaneously applied to join the alliance last week, but Turkey has blocked the initial processing of applications.
Macron and Erdogan also discussed the Ukrainian food crisis and expressed concern about the deteriorating situation in Libya.
