About 25 protesters tried to evade the police and break the security measuresduring the celebrations of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee that began on Thursday.
In fact, two of the protesters – who were from the Animal Rebellion – were able to sit in the middle of the Mall as the band approached.

The policemen pulled them from the middle as the musicians passed by them avoiding them completely, causing applause and disapproval.
Minutes later, Animal Rebellion took to Twitter: “Animal supporters are disrupting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations by demanding the return of the Royal Earth.

“This summer, we are taking more action against the dairy industry than ever before and we need you.”
Bo King Houston, among those who took action, said: “The royal family has had decades to lead a fair transition to vegetable farming and has not succeeded.
“This transition is common sense and simple, we all win. 76% of the current arable land could be reused and absorb carbon from the atmosphere.
“This will restore nature, save billions of animals and provide a solution to the climate emergency, all in one act,” he added.
Activists have accused the Crown – one of the country’s largest landowners – of continuing to support the meat, fishery and dairy industries.
Protesters argue that these sectors and industries are the main contributors to the climate crisis.
“Several people have been arrested who tried to enter the ritual route at The Mall around 10.10 today.” said the Representative of the Metropolitan Police.
