Two men on motorcycles died after colliding with a truck on the highway.
One man in his 50s and the other in his 60s died at the M50 site in Ireland.
This occurred between the 9th red cow running north-west from Dublin and the 7th Lucan node.
The truck driver was not injured.
Gardai urged people not to share graphic images of conflict on social media and messaging services.
An Garda Siochana spokesman said it asked the public not to do this because it was “rude to the deceased, his family and friends”.
The road, which had been closed for several hours as Garda were investigating the incident, is now fully open.
After a car crash around 2 p.m., drivers were urged to avoid the area.
After a deadly collision with the J9 Red Cow, all lanes were fully opened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the dead.

According to Gardada, the forensic examinations have completed the technical examinations on the spot.
Last Friday, in addition to the Traffic Twitter account, the M50 North will be closed for several hours before the ambulance service arrives at the scene.
“The movement of the N7 in a northerly direction must also try to avoid the territory or choose another route,” he added.
Gardai is for road users who may have camera footage, such as a dash cam traveling up to 9 lanes on the northbound M50 road, or road participants who may access it beyond the scene.
