In process fever is the Conservative Party in view of tonight’s vote on motion of censure against Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
From morning many ministers publicly declare their support to the party leader.
The Undersecretary to the Prime Minister for the Brexit Opportunities Jacob Reese-Mog stated that Mr. Johnson’s victory even with one vote will be enough to continue to lead the party and the country, rejecting the on the deterioration of the credibility of the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, the MP John Penrose resigned as “Defender of Corruption” appointed by Prime Minister, saying it was clear that Boris Johnson violated the ministerial code of conduct with the partygate. Mr Penrose commented that there was a sense that this was “the beginning of the end” for Mr Johnson, even if he won tonight’s vote.
The intention to vote for “change” in the evening was announced by the former minister and potential contender for power Jeremy Hunt. Another possible leadership claimant in the event of the dismissal of Boris Johnson, the Undersecretary of International Trade Penny Mordon made a post on social media for tonight’s commitment in her district, choosing not to declare support for the Prime Minister.
Mr Johnson was also publicly opposed by MPs Jesse Norman and Angela Richardson. Mr. Norman even published a letter of strong criticism against the Prime Minister over a series of political decisions.
