Boris Johnson faces impeachment today after MP demands no confidence resolution

It has been confirmed that Boris Johnson may resign as Prime Minister today.

Sir Graham Brady, former leader of the 1922 Joint Commission in 1922, said this morning that he received more than 54 letters requesting a statement of self-confidence.

This is the number needed to strengthen the Prime Minister’s leadership ballots. He must be persuaded to support the majority of Conservatives if they intend to run.

If Johnson wins, he will have a year to take office, unless the rules change. The former prime minister won a vote of confidence, but countries like Theresa May, John Major and Margaret Thatcher were hit hard.

Sir Graham explained in a statement: “We have broken the Parliamentary Party’s 15% standard for confidence from Conservative leaders.

“According to the rules, the vote will take place today, Monday, June 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Details will be given.

“It will take place as soon as the votes are counted. The announcement will be made when an acquaintance is needed. The ad deal will be announced later today.

Sir Graham later added that the Prime Minister was told to cross the threshold yesterday, suggesting that some MPs wrote to him that his cards were counted only after the Queen Platinum Jubilee celebration was over.

The announcement came after widespread anger among lawmakers and the general public over Johnson’s actions in the party’s saga, where he became the first sitting prime minister to defeat him.

The rebels will need 180 members to oust the Prime Minister: Mr Johnson’s allies have revealed that he is determined to fight for him to stay.

He will address the congressman this afternoon to increase his support.

Earlier in the day, longtime supporter Jesse Norman turned on the prime minister and showed no confidence in him.

The former minister said that Johnson’s current political priorities were “very dubious” and that he had never been able to serve in his government.

In that letter, he warned that a breach of the Northern Ireland Protocol was “extremely economically damaging, politically meaningless and almost illegal”.

“You are the leader of the Conservative and Unionist parties, but you are putting the union itself in grave danger,” the Hereford and South Herefordshire MP said.

Norman also called the Rwandan refugee government’s policies “ugly, perhaps counterproductive and of questionable legitimacy”, and suggested that Channel 4’s privatization program was “unnecessary and provocative”.

Downing Street said Johnson welcomed the opportunity to hear his case.

But Sir Graham admits that if Johnson survives today’s vote, it is far from certain.

Conservative rules do not allow a confidence vote within 12 months, but Sir Graham said these procedures were subject to change.

“It is technically possible to change the rules, but the current rules are a thank you period,” he explained.
