Police officers raped a businessman on a dating app the day after the meeting, and the court heard “there was no response.”

David Longden-Targood, 48, is reported to have said “It feels so good and I can’t quit right now” when asked to step down.

The court heard that Longden-Turgood, a divorcee, met the wife of a 30-year-old mother on the Bumble dating app.

A 19-year-old police officer in Hampshire posted a selfie, talked about the possibility of having sex in uniform, and told the woman: “I’m a bit of a rebel because I’m under no obligation.”

“I will protect you for the rest of my life. You will be my little girl. I will take care of you,” she told one.

Prosecutor Rebecca Fairburn told the court the woman invited him over the day after the couple exchanged sexual messages and sent each other a nude selfie.

Fairburn said she wanted to talk about dating, but repeatedly said, “I don’t want to have sex.”

The day after the attack, the woman sent him a text message. “I just said, ‘No, we don’t have sex.’ I don’t mind a little play with a spoon, but I think you were going to come here and have sex, now I might stop refusing.

Longden-Turgud replied: It is very difficult to accept to invite home after this story to have a spoon and not have sex.

Ms Fairburn, who held a trial at Winchester Criminal Court, said all three of her parents, Longden-Turgood, met a woman at Bumblebee in October 2020 and met her at her home in Hampshire the following night.

He told the jury, “Even when he said no, he wasn’t ready to say no.”

“He was a little overconfident, partly because they were texting him and partly because he was a cop, so he arranged for the kids to sleep the next night.

The couple were engaged in “some sexual activity”, and Ms Fairburn said the alleged victim was free to agree with the investigator on this point.

But when Longden Targood noticed that he was away from the boxer, he told him, “I don’t want to have sex.”

He replied, “Don’t worry, we don’t have sex.”

The jury was told that Longden-Turgud had kept silent and raped the woman “without warning”.

When she told him again that she didn’t want to have sex, Longden Targad said, “I feel good, I can’t stop now.”

The court said the woman was “in pain” when she felt “aggressive” and “numb”.

She said she couldn’t look him in the eye and was worried about waking up the children.

The next day, in a message between the couple, Longden-Turgud said the woman was “suffering”, “disproportionately spread out” and “you make me feel foolish”.

After school, the same day she picked up her son, the woman was impressed. Mrs. Fairburn said that her boyfriend had been aware of something wrong for five years.

A few days later, when the woman contacted the police, she hesitated and asked for two days to discuss if she wanted to reach an official conclusion.

Longden-Turgood, of Waterloville, Hampshire, has denied a rape case.

His rank was not acknowledged, but it was discovered that he was conducting a risk assessment in the Force Control Room.

The trial is in progress.
