The ‘Together’ faction close to French President Emanuel Macron prevailed in first round of parliamentary elections held yesterday in France with a marginal difference against the alliance of Jean-Luc Melanson.
According to the final count of the Ministry of Interior, the ‘Together’ faction Macron gathered it 25.75% of the voteswhile his ‘Nupes’ alliance Melanson came second with a percentage 25.66%.
Until late at night, French analysts estimated that Melanson would win the first round, but in the second round Macron would win more seats.
