Next week, the Italian government will meet and consider whether the country should be declared on energy alert. It is a measure related to the gradual reduction, which has so far reached 50%, of gas supplies from Russia.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, at next week’s European summit, Italy will again refer with emphasis to the proposal to adopt a ceiling on the price of gas.
The Italian newspaper reports that Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi discussed the issue during his trip to Kyiv with German Chancellor Olaf Solz and that he allegedly managed to persuade him to stop opposing the adoption of this proposal.
