Tens of thousands of Royal Post employees could quickly start the biggest strike in more than 30 years due to the cost of living crisis.
Approximately 115,000 members of the Communications Workers Union (CWU) vote for industrial activities due to the bitter procession.
The ballot will be released on Tuesday, June 28, after rejecting the company’s 2% payment offer.
CWU Deputy General Secretary Terry Poolinger said Royal Mail’s proposal was “far from inflation” and “completely inadequate”.
In a clip shared yesterday on Twitter, he said: “We will notify the Royal Mail Group of compensation claims, meaning unpaid compensation claims based on inflation.”
His comments were made out of fear that Britain would be another “winter of discontent”.

After years of travel turmoil in the UK, strikes are scheduled for tomorrow and Saturday on most major routes.
The Railways, Shipping and Transport Union (RMT) demanded a 7% wage increase to maintain the cost of living increase after last minute negotiations between the union and the railway boss broke down.
The CWU controversy concerns wages, working conditions and job security.
Pullinger said: “Throughout this controversy Royal Post management was abusive and rude to key employees.
“His actions, especially the provision of such positive rewards, have broken trust among loyal employees.

“No one wants to be in this situation, but our members are heroes. We protect ourselves in case of provocation and we are the best in our history for action. I’m sure I’ll get the vote.
According to the Bank of England’s latest forecast, demand for CWUs will occur when inflation (currently 9%) rises above 11% in October.
General Secretary Dave Ward also stressed that people treat workers as “totally worthless” which makes them “incredibly” profitable.
“Our members have kept this country in the coalition through our country’s greatest crisis since World War II, and many are paying the ultimate price,” he said.
“Now they don’t tell them anything, they have to accept having less, and the boss’s huge profits come first.”
The results of the CWU vote will be announced on July 19.
Further negotiations are planned, according to Royal Mail, and it is still hoping to resolve the dispute.
A company spokesperson said:
“We have provided CWU classmates with value up to 5.5%, which is the largest increase we have offered in recent years, rejected by CWU.
