The supercar crashed in a costly accident at a weekend event in the mountains of Switzerland.
On Sunday at the 2022 Kerenzerbergrennen Hill Race, the Ferrari F40 lost control and got caught in a racing barrier.
This video shows the aftermath of an accident in which a limited edition classic car from the 1990s (similar models sold for up to 2 million units) was lifted behind a salvage truck.
The front of the car was crushed, but most of the car is still intact, so it’s unclear if it was written off.
The collision is believed to be due to “turbo lag” between throttle hit and acceleration.
An ambulance has arrived at the scene, but no one appears to be injured.
The beautiful car was shown at the beginning of the video, perhaps moving slowly so that the viewer could get a closer look at the supercar.
Event chairman Peter Luffybach said the event was loosely described as a race, but was actually a “travel museum.”
“In the area where the accident happened, we just need a road,” he told the Swiss site in 20 minutes.
“This event is like a travel museum. Some move slow, some move fast. In the area where the accident occurred, only one road is needed.
A fleet of classic cars joined the climb through the Swiss mountains of Glarus, in the east of the country.
It is estimated that around 15 individual Ferrari owners took part in the race as part of Ferrari’s 75th anniversary, which is very difficult over 12 corners.
However, it is not clear how the accident happened, as they had to drive in a straight line back and forth with a safe distance between each car.
