According to prosecutors, convicted sex trafficker Jislein Maxwell has been at the bar for at least 30 years due to the sexual assault of a young woman by her ex-boyfriend and business partner Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell was to be sentenced to between 30 and 55 years in prison, and prosecutors argued in writing that the British Socialist Party’s decision should reflect the directions of the federal decision.

The prosecution recommended the verdict to the judge who presided over the sentencing hearing at Federal Justice Court in Manhattan on Tuesday.

Maxwell, 60, was convicted of sex trafficking in December for his role in recruiting and training girls for Epstein’s sexual assault.

Prosecutors called Maxwell a “shocking predator” in the trial memorandum.

“The accused does not even imply taking responsibility, he blames desperate attempts where he can,” said the prosecutor.

Maxwell’s attorney argued last week that he should spend less than five years in jail and not pay for Epstein’s crimes. His lawyer said it would be “foolish for justice to pass a proper judgment on Epstein.”

Epstein committed suicide in a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting his own trial in 2019 for sex trafficking.

“Epstein was intentional, Epstein was the primary abuser, and Epstein was committing a crime for his personal satisfaction,” his attorney argued about the minor ruling.

His lawyer also says that his life has been difficult and that he has already suffered terrible prison conditions since his arrest on July 2, 2020.

“Gislen Maxwell is not a successor, a criminal, or a mindless socialist. She worked hard. She wants to do energy, yearning, commitment, strong work ethic and good in the world. I have a wish,” the attorney said. .

They also said he deserved a lighter sentence because his difficult childhood was that of a “brave, narcissistic and demanding father”.

Responding to a statement from Maxwell’s legal team, the prosecutor said his poor condition and education were not the reason for the slightest ruling.

“Moving from foot to hand during detention is definitely a shocking and unpleasant experience,” they write.

Alison Nathan, the local judge who presided over Maxwell’s month-long trial, is overseeing Tuesday’s ruling.
