Protests erupted in Britain after a “catastrophic” decision was made to abolish abortion rights in more than half of the United States.

On Friday, the Supreme Court overturned the groundbreaking decision in Roe v. Wade to end constitutional protection against abortion and ensure that people are protected from seeking an abortion.

At a protest outside the US Embassy in Vauxhall, London, people in costume held a banner with the words “Our Body, Our Choice”.

One of the participants arrived dressed up from the dystopian novel and television series The Handmaid’s Tale, whose society is dominated by a fundamentalist government that regards women as property.

Another Esme Trevelini, 25, said: …There is no problem here. The United States is the most powerful country in the world and one of the richest countries in the world. If it can happen there, it can happen anywhere, of course. “

Freyja Shaw, 20, said: I think I’m angry everywhere so I listened as much as I could and made it stronger. “

Jessica Kapi, 25, added: I’m just sorry. We were able to turn our backs because we were so angry at women everywhere.

“Today I saw statistics that the United States is actually one of four countries that have withdrawn the right to abortion. So I got on the train and I’m here 45 minutes later.

“It was an important and sad day for the United States,” said Wenlind Lindros, chairman of the Democratic Party of Japan, an official organization for Democratic foreign residents.

As for the opposition movement, she said: “I’m about the same age as the Roe v. Wade case. I think there are a lot of women in my generation. We had to fight for women’s rights. We’ve come a long way. It probably wasn’t the end, but as you know, it was really one of the foundational decisions underlying our equality in the United States.

“So it will be very important, and it affects women, the older generation, of course the younger generation, and it is to find a way for us to be political and come back. Necessary”.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson called it a “major withdrawal” and hundreds of people flocked to the cities of London and Edinburgh to protest the decision.

Judith Two, vice president of the Campaign Group’s Abortion Rights, said she had organized a demonstration and that the protesters were “full of rage and rage”.

In the Scottish capital, election supporters and MSPs gathered outside the US Consulate.

Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the Labor Party, wrote on Twitter:

“The right of women to make their own decisions about their bodies is a fundamental human right.”

SNP’s Nicola Sturgeon said she would strengthen her power against abortion and women in other countries as well.

The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (Bpas), one of the UK’s leading abortion providers, called it “shocking” and called on the UK government to publicly condemn the “human rights abuses”.

However, the Christian Action Research and Education (Care) Charity welcomed this decision, stating that both mothers and babies are “valued and protected by the most empathetic communities”.

Catherine Robinson, a spokeswoman for the British right to life group, said the decision violated “injustice law” and “is the beginning and certainly not the end of the legislative fight over abortion.”
