According to the Anadolu news agency, the Turkish intelligence service arrested on Saturday Mohamed Amar Abara who, according to the publication, was found to be spying on the country on behalf of the Greek National Intelligence Service (EYP).

It is claimed that the Turkish National Intelligence Organization revealed that the EYP was collaborating with the Greek national for espionage against Turkey, security sources reported, according to Anadolu.

Abara was said to be posing as a businessman during his trips to Turkey in a bid to gather information on Turkish military developments at the border and send them back to Athens.

Diplomatic sources make it clear that the disappearance of Mohamed Amar Abara had declared at the Greek Embassy in Ankara pa few weeks ago.

Since then, according to the same sources, the Greek Embassy had repeatedly and after urging raised the issue with the Turkish authorities, which, however, they never gave any answer.
