In his new documentary to be shown on the Hulu streaming platform, «Life in Pink», (Life in the Roses) rapper describes a depressing night in July 2020 while mourning the loss of his father, who died a year after the release of his album “Hotel Diablo”.
“I did not leave my room and I started to feel very, very black. Megan had gone to Bulgaria to make a movie and this really wild paranoia started to catch me. I became paranoid, “I thought someone would come and kill me,” the 32-year-old MGK recalled today.
Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, added that he always slept with a shotgun next to his bed and just “c.” escaped “that day.
“I called Megan. I would say something like, ‘You’re not here for me’. I’m in my room, I’m starting to freak out at her. Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth. And I shout on the phone and the barrel is my mouth. And I’m going to take it out shotgun safety and the sphere, as it ascends, simply blocks. “Megan doesn’t make a fuss as if she’s dead.”
Kelly said he realized at the time that “something was wrong”, adding that Fox and Casey’s 12-year-old daughter had both said they did not want to “talk to him through a veil of fog”.
“‘I want to see you as my father’ and ‘I want to see you as my future husband,’ they told him. “I was saying I had to stop taking drugs this time,” MGK said, although he did not say whether he was taking drugs during the incident. Kelly said that “his” Fox, 36, “became his sun”, saying that his world revolved around him, helped him mature and gave him life.
“This is what helps me write these songs. “Because it’s just like any fairy tale you were never told at school; the passion between us is just weird,” he said.
