Nicola Sturgeon proposed holding a Scottish referendum in October 2023

The Scottish premier said he expected another referendum on Scottish independence on October 19 next year.

Nicolas Stergen called for a “legal constitutional referendum” after announcing a new bill to be published at Holyrood for a non-binding vote on this issue.

If Westminster continues to reject votes and finds no other legal way to hold a new referendum for her government, Ms Sturgeon will fight for unified independence in the next British general election.
