A kicked and stoned pregnant hedgehog died with all the babies within days of surviving.

The hedgehog would have been attacked by a group of children in Shenley, Hertfordshire on June 20 and would have died there without the intervention of bystanders.

He was taken to a rescue center to treat his injuries, including loss of vision in one eye, spinal cord injury, broken leg, broken jaw and stomach injury.

One of their children was dead, but they wanted the other two to survive.

But now the rescue center said they all died from serious injuries.

The mother fell asleep after her condition worsened and was unable to eat.

“We are devastated,” London’s Colony Hedgehog Rescue said in a Facebook update.

“The injury to his mouth was so bad that he couldn’t sew it up. The wound opened his nose and he couldn’t eat.”

Even syringe feeding was unfair in terms of the amount of discomfort it caused.

I felt that this trauma would not heal together (from past experience), but he gave me a chance last week.

The vet and I decided to run while he was under anesthesia.

And trust me (if anyone knows me) and as a hedgehog to survive, we do not lightly refuse to repair any kind of wound and bring it back to the wild.

“I wouldn’t advise against putting hedgehogs at Shenley because I know there are a lot of nice people out there to look after and protect them.”

Police are seeking information about the attack that took place on Porter Park Drive near the intersection with Tagal Place at 7 p.m.
