Russian officials said an attack launched by Ukrainian armed forces on Monday night had resulted in “dozens” of casualties in the community controlled by Russian troops Nova Kahovkain the region of Kherson, while Ukrainian officials reported that an ammunition depot was destroyed in this community.
Vladimir Leonidev, head of the Russian-adjacent civil-military administration of the Kherson region, told the Russian state news agency TASS that “unfortunately there are casualties, some deaths, a large number of injured, while dozens of people were left homeless.”
Mr. Leondiev told the same agency that the wounded were taken to a civilian and military hospital and that the attack caused an explosion in fertilizer warehouses and damaged other buildings.
For his part, Serhii Brachuk, representative of the Odesa regional authorities, said that Nova Kahovka is now “minus” an ammunition depot.
