The harassment of an Italian journalist by a Fiorentina fan, while he was making a live broadcast, was widely condemned, both on social media and in politics.
The incident took place after the end of the Empoli-Fiorentina match. The victim of the harassment, journalist Greta Becalia, works for a local Tuscan television station.
The person in charge of this unacceptable act touched her buttocks while she was connected and talking to the presenter of the show. “You can not do that,” said the young journalist, but the presenter tried not to give weight to the incident, telling her, “do not get angry.”
Thanks to the security cameras, but also to the recordings of the specific channel, in the last few hours the identity of the perpetrator was verified and the journalist announced that he would file a lawsuit.
I would like to remind that journalist that the slap on the butt is sexual violence: the gesture is one of the conducts prohibited by art. 609-bis of the Criminal Code This was recalled by the Supreme Court with sentence no. 15245/2017. Other than “do not take it”.#Complaint #GretaBeccaglia pic.twitter.com/pkrAJSOAga

Thousands of internet users expressed their solidarity with the sports editor and staged the unacceptable event. At the same time, the Speaker of the Italian Parliament, Roberto Fico, and the Speaker of the Senate, Elizabeta Caselati, wanted to make their support clear.
Finally, Italian commentators emphasize that it is unacceptable for all this to continue to happen even a few days after the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. That is, as if there is a portion of society that is completely indifferent to any message of awareness and promotion of a rudimentary, civilized behavior.
