The results of the meeting between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN on the “grain issue” will be discussed tomorrow, Tuesday, by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting they will have in Iran, as reported by the state-run Turkish channel TRT Haber.
Last week, negotiations took place in Istanbul between the military delegations of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN delegation for settlement of the “grain question”.
The Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar he said after their conclusion that an agreement had been reached to establish a coordination center in Istanbul, while next week the delegations of Ukraine and Russia will meet again in Turkey for additional discussions.
“The leaders will discuss the results of the meeting held in Istanbul and the decisions taken. It is expected that this week the parties will meet again in Istanbul to discuss the final document,” the TV channel said.
In the meantime, as an RIA Novosti source noted earlier, the new meeting of the delegations of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN on the “grain issue” is expected to take place on July 20-21, while there are no significant obstacles to signing an agreement and the withdrawal of grain ships from the Black Sea. “Technical details” remain to be settled in order to create a safety zone to control ships in Ukrainian waters.
