Former first lady Melania Trump said she was “unaware” of the deadly unrest on Capitol Hill because she was taking pictures at the White House.

Trump’s statement on Thursday contradicted a recent statement by his former chief of staff Stephanie Grisham that the then-first lady accused the rebellion of lawlessness and violence and rejected the proposal.

Hours before the Commission’s final hearing, Trump shared his version of what he was doing.

“On January 6, 2021, I was on one of my missions as the First Lady of the United States, so I didn’t know what was going on in the United States Capitol at the same time,” Trump told Fox Paddy Field. digital news.

“As with all the first ladies before me, it was my duty to document the contents of the historic rooms of the White House, including taking archival photos of all the renovations.

“A few months ago, we assembled an experienced team of photographers, archivists, and designers to work together at the White House to ensure flawless execution.

“If necessary, we plan to complete the work on behalf of the country on January 6, 2021.

CNN previously reported that professional lighting was installed inside the White House and photos were taken of rugs and other items in the East Wing and Administration Building.

Mr. Trump called this mission a “very significant engagement” that required “meticulous care, attention to detail, and focus on both planning and execution.”

Former first lady Melania Trump's former chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, shared a screenshot of the text message exchange that took place in late June.

A few weeks after Grisham shared a screenshot of the text exchange with “MT,” a former first lady said. She shows that Grisham sent a letter to Trump. “Peaceful protest is the right of all Americans, but tweeting that lawlessness and violence have no place?

I answered “No” and “MT”.

On Thursday, Trump said he was “always very supportive of my former chief of staff Stephanie Grisham,” criticizing her performance or lack thereof on the day of the riots.

“Grisham was not in the White House on January 6. Her actions as Chief of Staff are ultimately a dereliction of duty,” Trump said. “Traditionally, the First Lady’s Chief of Staff gives a detailed explanation to our around. An important issue for the country.”

“In fact, Mr. Grisham left his post in Washington and was unable to provide any information regarding the events surrounding January 6,” Trump continued.

“It’s a shame this behavior is only partially known to the general public, but it was consistent for Grisham.
