Boris Johnson is seen throwing a fake grenade as he watches Ukrainian troops train, during a trip to a British army base in North Yorkshire.

Johnson donned full camouflage gear as he took part in the exercise this week, during which he was shown how to use the weapons.

He wrote on Twitter: “This week I visited Ukrainian troops being trained by the British Armed Forces in North Yorkshire. The UK has pledged to do all it can to help Ukraine continue to repel Russian aggression».

In the video, Johnson explains that he has met some of the 400 Ukrainian soldiers training at the base. “I just want you to know that the people of the UK support the people of Ukraine and support you in your fight,” he says in the video. “And I am absolutely convinced that you can win and that you will win».

Boris Johnson has said he hopes to help from his side in Putin’s diabolical attack on Ukraine. He said he knows that in the end the Ukrainian people will succeed and that he is proud of the role the UK has been able to play so far.
