After another strike on Wednesday, many of the countries will remain without rail service.

RMT members who work with Network Rail and 14 different operators will disable the tool later this week.

Residents are urged not to travel at all on July 27 and the turmoil is expected to continue into the following morning.

The railway chief has released a map showing that many lines have been completely closed and service on other branches is very limited from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Only a fifth of all services work on half of a regular network, and even some stations on open lines are closed.

The industrial activity is part of an ongoing debate over wages and conditions, with the network dysfunctional over the largest rail strike in modern history last month.

Union leaders have warned that they are willing to continue the strike if no agreement is reached.

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch accused the rail company of failing to offer better deals after three strikes in June.

“The RMT will continue to negotiate in good faith, but no one will intimidate or insult it,” he said, calling the terms “shameful.”

“The government must stop getting involved in this conflict so that the railway businessmen can negotiate with us through negotiations.”

Andrew Haines, chief executive of Network Rail, encouraged customers to stay home, saying: Instead of compromising and agreeing on behalf of members.

Seven different companies are affected: Arriva Rail London; Chiltern Railways; United Kingdom; Great West; Hull Trains; LNER; Southeast; and West Midlands Trains.
