The bishop and his wife had more than $1 million worth of jewelry robbed at gunpoint in front of their congregation while he was preaching.
Bishop Lamore Miller-Whitehead, 44, was preaching Sunday at Tomorrow International Church in Brooklyn, Canarsie. At that moment, three masked shooters entered the sanctuary.
The theft was captured on video while the church was streaming a sermon live on YouTube.
The shocking video shows Whitehead speaking to the congregation.

“How many people have lost faith because they saw someone else die?” he asked the crowd before the attacker entered the back of the room.
“Everyone calm down. No one moves, as they approach Whitehead, you can hear the shooter.
“I didn’t know if they were trying to shoot up the church or if they were just coming to rob it,” Whitehead said.
According to Whitehead, about 100 people were inside the building when the shooters entered.
The entire robbery lasted just over two minutes.
Whitehead said they believed they were specifically targeting him.
He said: “One came to my wife and brought all her jewelery and the gun was pointed at my eight-month-old baby’s face.”
Law enforcement sources said Whitehead and his wife had stolen $1,060,000 worth of jewelry.
Whitehead said his bishop’s ring, his wedding ring, bishop’s chain and necklace were stolen from under his robe.
Church security cameras also captured footage of a stolen car (white Mercedes CLA) and its license plate.
Whitehead became a hot topic earlier this year when he helped broker the surrender of Andrew Abdulai, who was accused of shooting and killing Goldman Sachs employee Daniel Enriquez in May.
He believes he was the target of media coverage.
“They called me Bishop of Brynbrin. They had my Rolls-Royce everywhere and it seems like it played a part,” he told CBS New York.
In a video shared later on Facebook, Whitehead generally offered a $50,000 reward for capturing the attackers.
“Some people say you should put money in there,” Whitehead said in a video. “I want to catch these youngsters. I want the NYPD to catch them and prosecute them to the highest degree,” she said.
