The aim is to ensure that war crimes committed by Russian military forces in Ukraine do not go unpunished.

French President Emmanuel Macron said today that France is determined to ensure that war crimes committed by the Russian military forces in Ukraine will not go unpunished and in this context he will donate a mobile DNA analysis laboratory in early Kyiv.

After a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, Macron also welcomed the departure of the first ship carrying grain from Odessa and stressed that Europe will continue to help facilitate Ukrainian grain exports by land and sea.

Ukraine has been unable to send its grain abroad via the Black Sea due to the Russian blockade of its ports since February 24. The two countries signed a UN-sponsored deal in Istanbul last month aimed at resuming exports to avoid a global food crisis.
