A fight about cold fries led to the shooting of an employee at McDonald’s in Brooklynyesterday, who is now fighting for his life, according to the New York police.

The 23-year-old victim was working at the fast food outlet around 7pm on Monday when a female customer started an argument because her fries were cold. The woman called her 20-year-old son on the phone during the argument, and the son soon stormed into the restaurant and began fighting with the employee.

The fight moved outside the fast-food restaurant, and that’s when the disgruntled customer’s son allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the employee in the neck, according to reports.

The victim is in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, police sources said.

A 9mm bullet that was used was found at the scene and the attacker was taken into custody, police sources said. No charges have yet been filed.

The perpetrator has been arrested several times in the past, including for grand theft in 2019 and assault and theft of service in 2018, sources said.
