A small plane made a dramatic emergency landing on a California highway on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, hitting a truck full of people before bursting into flames. The plane crashed on a highway in Riverside County.
Shocking footage shows the plane falling from the sky and landing in the middle of traffic before sliding towards the side of the road.
The pilot and passenger, who were on board the plane, both managed to exit the plane safely. The plane also crashed into a truck with three people in it, who fortunately were unhurt.
The pilot claimed he made an emergency landing on the freeway after experiencing engine failure while en route to the Corona Municipal Airport to land.
Video released by the Corona fire service shows the plane engulfed in flames and sending out huge clouds of smoke before a firefighter doused the aircraft with water.
