Fuel imports into Britain from Russia were zero in June, according to the latest figures released by the Office for National Statistics in London.

The British government has promised to end imports of oil from Russia by the end of the year and natural gas shortly thereafter.
London imported in 2021 4% of the natural gas it consumed from Russia and 11% of the oil.
Imports of other Russian goods also fell to their lowest level since records were kept in January 1997 – to 33 million pounds.
More generally, imports of all raw materials from Russia fell compared to the monthly average for the twelve months to February, when the war in Ukraine broke out.
British exports to Russia also fell in June, down by a total of 70% on the monthly average in the twelve months to February – to £168m.
