The aircraft made an emergency landing in Munich
An unprecedented incident involving an elderly woman happened during a flight from Manchester to Rhodes, as it became known yesterday.
According to the Daily Mail, the pensioner was allegedly thrown into a rage during the flight after her request for free champagne was refused. She then ordered a gin and tonic, but a cabin crew member allegedly took the drink away from her as she became increasingly aggressive.
The woman, who appears to be in her 70s, was dragged along the plane’s runway by two police officers before being lifted off the plane.
Stunned passengers on the flight clapped and cheered while chanting “Auf Wiedersehen, pet” (Goodbye, pet) as the woman was dragged from the plane.
The video shows a male crew member bending over a row of seats near the front of the plane and trying to calm the woman down.
In the chaotic scenes that followed, the woman got up from her seat and slapped the employee twice across the face. Another member of staff tries to help but to no avail as the woman falls back into her seat.
The video shows nine German police officers boarding the plane and then walking down the aisle to where the woman was sitting.
A passenger comments: “Should we applaud her on the way out?”
Seconds later, the elderly woman can be seen being carried along the plane’s runway towards the exit by two police officers, her feet dragging on the floor.
The woman sounds distressed and appears to say “help me” as she is dragged towards the rear door of the plane.
One officer can be seen lifting the woman’s legs and helping other officers carry the pensioner from the plane head first.
