Police say a woman was raped in a bush by a man she had just met at a bus stop.

Officers investigating the attack have released a photo of a wanted man in connection with an incident in Gloucester on Friday night.

Gloucestershire Police said the man met the victim at a bus stop before she left for the Houghton Road area, where he raped her and fled.

Police said the attack occurred in the bushes near the Gulf gas station on Houghton Road in the city between 8 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

Police say the victim is receiving professional help.

The man is Caucasian or mixed race, wearing a black T-shirt with a yellow print, black sweatpants and black Adidas flip flops.

Police said she had a black “man bag” and a white purse.

Anyone who has seen the man or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 999.
