Only one in seven Britons believe that the Liz Truss she will be a better prime minister compared to him Boris Johnson, according to a poll by the company YouGov. Almost one in four feel it will get worse.

The YouGov poll has been conducted in a sample of 2,488 adults. 14% expect Truss to do a “better job” than Johnson while 27% think she will do worse.
Truss, who has previously said she prefers tax cuts to “handouts”, promised on Sunday that in her first week as prime minister she would take immediate action to tackle rising energy bills and increase energy reserves.
Half of those polled said they were disappointed by Tras’s election. Only one in five Britons believe their government will manage to tackle the urgent cost of living problem.
