The Daily Telegraph chose Queen Elizabeth’s quote “sadness is the price we pay for love” as its headline.

The Financial Times summarized: “H Queen Elizabeth B, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, has died, leaving her people in mourning. But reflecting a life of duty in which he united the country through 70 years of momentous change.”

The Times chose the headline “A Life of Duty”, while the Daily Mirror thanked the Queen for what she had given the UK. The Daily Star chose the headline ‘You’ve done your duty, lady’, the Daily Mail ‘Our hearts are broken’. For the Daily Express, “Our beloved Queen is dead.”
