However, other reports say it will be taken by road to the Palace of Holyrood in Edinburgh and the following day to the city’s cathedral, St Giles, where a service will be held in the presence of the king.
King Charles III will have already begun a tour of all the countries of the United Kingdom, as per protocol. His first stop will be Scotland, then he will go to Northern Ireland and then to Wales.
The day after tomorrow, Sunday, the Queen’s body, according to the second scenario, will be transported by RAF (Air Force) aircraft to Northhold Military Airport in west London and from there by road to Buckingham Palace.
On Monday, on a bier, accompanied by a military procession and relatives, the body will be transferred from Buckingham Palace to Parliament where it will remain for a three-day public pilgrimage.
Ten days after her death, the queen’s funeral will be held. This day, on which national mourning will be declared, will be a public holiday.
According to information, the Queen’s body will be transferred at 10:50 from Parliament to Westminster Abbey where a grand state funeral will be held in the presence of foreign leaders.
Before the ceremony, two minutes of silence will be observed across the country.
Later, the body will be taken to Windsor Castle where a ceremony will take place at around 4pm at St George’s Chapel, where Prince Philip’s funeral was also held.
