Queen Elizabeth’s coffin will be carried in a procession, followed by King Charles and members of the royal family, to St Giles Cathedral and after a memorial service, the gates of the temple will be opened to the public.
The coffin will make its way up the Royal Mile with the King and Queen Consort following behind. That promises to be a very emotional, solemn moment.’

Already, dozens of people have “camped” outside the cathedral to be able to worship the queen’s body. Organizers believe that within 24 hours, thousands of people will try to participate in the popular pilgrimage.
However, the security measures and the way the queue will “progress” are very strict.
Authorities have warned that as large crowds are expected there could be delays on public transport. People are asked to be prepared to stand in long lines while special wristbands will be distributed per person.
Only those with wristbands will be able to enter St Giles.
