Although he was crowned King of the UK just last weekend, Charles III has been living… royally all his life – ‘The bath plug has to be in a certain place’

“From ‘pampered prince’ to… pampered king”. Although he was crowned King of the United Kingdom just last weekend, Mr Karolos G‘ lives… royally all his life, and is said to have demands and whims that would make him Louis XIV to blush with his jealousy.

King Charles was reportedly nicknamed the ‘pampered prince’ by his staff at Clarence House, where he lived with his ‘royal wife’ Camilla from 2003 until he took the throne.
Details of the former Prince of Wales’ sybaritic demands were revealed in the 2015 Amazon Prime documentary Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm.

Paul Burrell, who served as butler to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, has revealed the exact instructions given to the royal staff to look after him, from… ironing his shoelaces to… putting the exact amount of toothpaste on his toothbrush!

The former butler stated that “everything is done to him by others.”

“His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are ironed flat, the bath plug has to be in a certain position, and the water temperature has to be only lukewarm,” in a bathtub “only half full.” said Burrell.

The king “makes his valets pass an inch (2.54 cm) of toothpaste on his toothbrush every morning.”

After getting ready, Charles’s strict morning routine continues with his breakfast.

“Prince Charles has a healthier option. She had homemade bread, a bowl of fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices,” said chef Graham Newbould, a former member of the royal staff.

“Wherever he travels in the world the prince, the breakfast box travels with him. He has six different kinds of honey, some rare muesli, his dried fruit, and anything that’s a little special that he’s a little fussy about.”

He is also said to insist his cheeses and biscuits are heated to a certain temperature at the end of meals and forces his staff to keep a hot tray nearby “as he is particular about everything”, one insider of royal tastes told MyLondon of Charles.

Along with his box breakfast, King Charles is said to be sending a van full of his belongings to his friends’ holiday homes ahead of his arrival to unload his “bed, furniture and even his pictures”, Tina reported Brown in “The Palace Papers.”

He even reportedly brings his own toilet seat and… Kleenex Velvet toilet paper wherever he goes.
