A gunman killed nine people at a school in the Russian city of Izhevsk, the Russian Interior Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.
The Interior Ministry said the gunman killed himself and 20 other people were wounded.
The RIA news agency quoted Governor Alexander Brechalov of the Udmurtia region, of which Izhevsk is the capital, as saying that an unidentified man entered the school and killed a security guard. He said there were dead and wounded among the students at the school.
