Moscow on Nord Stream leaks: “We fear sabotage” – Berlin “photographs” Russia about the damage

Berlin “takes pictures” of Russia for the damage

Although German authorities have so far made no comment, according to a German government source cited by German newspaper Taggesspiegel, “everything shows that this is not a coincidence.” “We cannot imagine a scenario that does not involve a targeted attack,” the source stressed.

Nord Stream 1, which consists of two parallel lines capable of transporting 27.5 billion cubic meters per year each, began supplying gas directly from Russia to Germany in 2011.

Flows through the pipeline, which had been operating since July at just 20% of capacity, stopped at the end of August and did not resume after maintenance work.

Russia claims that faulty equipment at an important compressor station and Western sanctions due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine are responsible for the pipeline’s failure.
